Hi there! I’m teaching math to a homeschool student one on one online. What would you suggest as the best way to receive daily homework and grade it without me printing it? If she takes a pic of her homework and emails it to me, where can I go to mark it up and then save it as graded?

I am so happy that you got the job and for your future in the classroom. This is kinda off topic but I was wondering where you got your walking thing for your office I want one for myself?

I don’t know if you’ll see this but I wanted to say that I’m so glad you seem to have more realistic expectations now, especially since you’re going back to teaching. I’m excited to see what your style will be now. I myself have a busy looking classroom but I’ve chosen calming colors. It’s a struggle to try to keep it simple but still have my areas for library, calm down, small group and instruction. After 10 years, it’s still a work in progress and student needs are different every year.

Just to offer some recommendations and support : *I would focus on learning your TEKS since they are different than the common core standards. I would definitely look into past STAAR assessments for reference as well. *Look into your Region Education center as they offer Math Academies that support teachers in 3rd-5th.The state offers a stipend to attend this 3 day course. I attended this year in my region and it was very helpful. *TAG is not a certification in Texas. Texas teachers are required to do a 6 hour update (trainings/seminars) to comply with GT students. Since you are a new hire in Texas more than likely you will have to complete the 30 hour course prescribed by your district. Each year after that you will only need to do 6 hour updates.

Jean recommendation: curve appeal and 1812. They have a stretchy waist band and come in stretchy materials as well as jean material and are pretty inexpensive. I've found them at TJ Maxx and Marshall's.

I did not pass the ESL certification on my first try 😅 I got it on my second and what helped me study was the online study guide. There are so many types of ESL programs so knowing the difference between them is a must.

I love my Levis, but ive also found that I really enjoy my american eagle jeans i got at a thift store. I find several when I go, and as someone who struggles with sizing of pants, it really fits comfortably and is great for work and has held up extremely well. Never had them tear or rip. I recently replaced a stained pair with that brand and still find that they're great. Highly recommend as someone who works at a school and can wear jeans. So excited for you! Thanks for the questions. Highly interested in thise video ideas, especially tbe planning for your classroom layout.

You can use ceiling tiles and door size to estimate the size of wall pretty accurately :)

Hey there... I am super excited to see you teaching in texas. TAG 30 his qualifies you to include TAG students in your class. It is not a certification that you add like the ESL. I get to wear jeans as well. I have searched high and low for comfortable jeans that are also affordable. Kohl’s Sonoma brand is one of my favorites and Levi’s too. Walmart’s Time and True is a good one to try. Good luck in your search!!!

Target sells a Levi’s brand that I love and they are under $30. I think they are called Denzin.
